David and the group RazzaMoJazz, which he co-founded, were joined in '08 with jazz sax sensation and Grammy Award winner Brandon Fields (The Rippingtons, Tower of Power, Earth Wind & Fire, George Benson...many more) for two incredible performances in January and July. David also shares the stage with notable rock/blues guitarist Jeff Pevar (Ray Charles, Kenny Loggins, Marc Cohn, David Crosby...more) in the rock/blues group The Rogue Suspects. Because of his personality and musical versatility, David has also performed with many diverse acts such as Brazilian pop star Dandara(Montreaux Jazz Festival) as well as surf/country guitar legend Nokie Edwards (Rock & Roll Hall of Fame group The Ventures).

BACKGROUND

David has been playing the drums since age six. As a seasoned professional, he brings a very musical orientation to his drumming. He colors the sound with finesse and sensitivity while simultaneously offering serious groove. He is extremely versatile and performs many styles of music including jazz, funk, afro-cuban, hip hop, country, shuffle, swing, raggae, rock, samba, to name just a few. He says, "Listening is key to letting you know where and how to compliment a group's sound. Its about understanding the emotional intent of the music and then merging that with the personality of the other performers."
